About us
Built on more than 20 years of combined engineering experience.
The Davey Corporation is a Rugby based consulting civil and structural engineering practice, founded in 2017 and built on more than 20 years of combined experience across the private and public sectors. We deliver bespoke, technically rigorous engineering solutions to clients across the UK, from single home extensions to multi storey developments and infrastructure schemes.
Our story
Founded in 2017, still run by engineers.
The Davey Corporation was founded in 2017 in Rugby, Warwickshire, bringing together engineers with a combined 20+ years of experience across the private and public sectors. That mix of backgrounds means we have designed for self builders, developers, main contractors and public bodies alike, and we bring that range of perspective to every instruction, whatever the scale.
We remain deliberately engineer led. Every project has a named engineer who visits site, produces the calculations, and stays on hand through construction, rather than being passed between departments.

What we stand for
Five principles that shape every instruction.
Integrity
We act with honesty and transparency, and take responsibility for our advice and our numbers.
Collaboration
We bring architects, contractors and clients into one conversation early, so solutions get better, not slower.
Innovation
We look for the creative, sustainable route through a problem, not just the compliant one.
Inclusivity
Every member of our team is empowered to challenge a design and be heard, junior or senior.
Client focus
We listen properly before we calculate. Your project's constraints shape our approach, not the other way round.
The team
The people behind the calculations.
Tom Davey
Founding Director and Structural Engineer
Tom founded The Davey Corporation in 2017 after more than a decade designing structures across the private and public sectors. He leads the practice's structural work on complex and multi storey projects, and still gets more enjoyment out of a well detailed connection than almost anything else.
Alison White
Architect
Alison bridges the gap between architectural intent and structural reality, making sure the two disciplines are talking to each other from the earliest sketch rather than after the drawings are fixed.
Sammy Hobbs
Head Engineer
Sammy oversees the day to day delivery of every project in the office, from the first site visit to the final construction issue drawing, and is usually the person you will speak to when you call.
William Scott
Civil Engineer
William specialises in drainage, flood risk and highways work, and has a particular interest in sustainable drainage strategies that do more than the bare minimum required for planning.
